Popular social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has formally escalated his dispute with influencer Blessing Okoro to law enforcement authorities, alleging fraud and misrepresentation.
In a video shared on Tuesday evening, VeryDarkMan disclosed that he had filed a petition to the Nigeria Police Force, which has now been approved for investigation by the office of the Inspector General of Police.

According to him, the petition accuses Blessing Okoro—widely known as Blessing CEO—of “obtaining by false pretence, forgery, and conduct likely to defraud members of the public.”
He stated that the complaint was submitted through legal representatives on behalf of a client, while also emphasizing that it was done in the broader interest of protecting the public.
Providing context to the petition, VeryDarkMan recounted an emotional personal experience that reportedly influenced his decision.
He claimed that weeks ago, he was moved to donate money after Blessing CEO publicly announced she was battling cancer.
According to him, despite having limited funds at the time, he contributed what he described as his “last cash” out of compassion.
He further alleged that subsequent discoveries suggested the cancer claim may have been false, leaving him financially strained and emotionally distressed.
He explained that the situation worsened after he later spent a significant sum—reportedly running into millions—on medical-related expenses of his own, which he believes could have been avoided had he not made the donation.
Expressing frustration, he criticized what he described as the exploitation of public sympathy, particularly on sensitive health issues like cancer.
He warned that such actions, if proven, could undermine trust and harm genuine patients who rely on public support.
VeryDarkMan also used the opportunity to caution Nigerians against encouraging or defending alleged criminal acts under any circumstances.
He urged the public to allow the police investigation to proceed without bias or interference, stressing that accountability is necessary regardless of an individual’s social status.
The activist concluded by thanking the police authorities for approving the investigation and reiterated his stance against fraud, noting that the case should serve as a lesson on the consequences of deception.
As of the time of filing this report, Blessing CEO has not issued an official response to the allegations. Meanwhile, the police are expected to commence a full investigation into the claims outlined in the petition.
